How to finally feel and strengthen your pelvic floor muscles

Hey Reader,

If you ever struggled to actually feel your pelvic floor muscles (or know if they're working), I have a great new video tutorial to help you

Now, strengthening your pelvic floor muscles has many benefits, especially as we age. They can help you improve bladder and bowel control, support your core and lower back, and reduce the risk of leaks and prolapse (for women).

But I often get members ask me "I'm not sure if I'm strengthening properly because I can't see these muscles."

So if you've ever felt unsure if you're tapping into those muscles, trust me that you're not alone.

I even had trouble activating them for many years.

I also notice many people brace their core or start clenching their glutes instead of truly isolating the pelvic floor muscles.

So that's exactly why I made my new video and blog post about this week.

I'll share exactly how to reconnect with your pelvic floor and deep core (connecting the transverse abdominis with your pelvic floor muscles) with a few simple cues.

And we will transition and implement these cues into a few exercises:

Pelvic tilt to practice the cues and activate the pelvic floor.

Knee folds & heel slides to practice control of the hip flexors and core.

Bird dog with a block to test core stability (and connect the pelvic floor with the transverse abdominis).

Cat camel stretch to help with spinal mobility and conencting the breath with the pelvic floor.

I hope you find this useful and enjoy this routine.

You can do these exercises twice a week as you build your mind-muscle connection and start reconnecting with these muscles.

It all helps to add more stability to your pelvic-lumbar area. This results in less pain overall and more functional hip muscles.

Take care and Stay Strong,

Sofia
